About the venue
The Trafo Baden, originally a transformer assembly hall dating back to the 1920s, is a prime example of effective building conversion in conjunction with new construction.
The complex includes a cinema with five theatres, a fitness centre with Turkish bath, several restaurants and a convention centre. The current expansion of the Culture and Convention Centre will be completed in 2014: The impressive Hall 37 will become a covered town square that provides a sheltered link between Bruggerstrasse and Brown Boveri Platz. Hall 36 will retain its industrial character and will house new events rooms for exhibitions and conventions. Hall 38 will be converted into a modern hotel, owner-occupied apartments and small to medium-sized conference rooms. The Trafo 2 extension will attract 140,000 visitors a year.
Conveniently located in the very heart of the City of Baden, the Trafo Baden Convention Centre is a mere distance from the train station.
